    Interested in Subbing?

Though we are always looking for new teachers to come to the district, we cannot run seamlessly without our dedicated Substitute Teaching pool. If you are a retired teacher (in or out of the district) or simply want to be in the classroom, we have opportunities for you.

    Interested in becoming a TA?

Our schools couldn't operate efficiently without our incredible teacher assistants! The dedicated support staff in our classrooms ensure that educators have the academic and behavioral support they need to effectively teach our students. Additionally, our TAs often act as mirrors for our students as they are often local community members, parents, and student teachers.

    Diversity in PPSD

Additionally, the Providence Public Schools Department encourages applications from members of other historically marginalized groups. We continue to focus our efforts to create a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive school district that is reflected in our policies, practices, and workspaces, which in turn will accelerate student learning and achievement.
