Lisa Vargas-Sinapi is the current Principal at George J. West Elementary School. She has worked her entire educational career in the Providence Public School District (PPSD). In her 33 years working in education, she was an Assistant Principal for six years, and is going into her second year as Principal at George J. West.

Lisa earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and her Masters of Education degree in Special Education Administration from Rhode Island College in Providence, Rhode Island. She also completed additional administrative coursework at Providence College.

Lisa's vision for George J. West Elementary School is to build a positive culture, bringing all of the Kindergarten through fifth grade students together to enable rigorous and engaging learning opportunities that will have an uplifting influence on the students' elementary school experience. George J. West Elementary School is committed to supporting the academic, social and emotional growth of every child, and fostering a love of learning.
