Roger Williams Middle School was built in 1932 with funds from the WPA. This school started out as a junior high school serving the south side of Providence. The school has always had strong ties to its community. The school has served the students in the area faithfully, educating the children and helping the community.
Currently, RWMS serves approximately 900 students in 6, 7, and 8th grade. The students now come from all many of Providence's neighborhoods. The school still works closely with the community and leaders from all over Providence.
