Daniel Geraghty

Daniel Geraghty is the Assistant Principal at Hope High School. He has been working in education since 2008, and has spent the last three years in the Providence Public School District (PPSD) as Hope High School's Assistant Principal. Prior to coming to PPSD, Daniel worked as a special education teacher and as a math teacher in New York City. As he progressed in his career, he took on diverse roles, including Dean of Students, Peer-Collaborative Teacher, and Assistant Principal in New York City.

Upon moving to Providence, Daniel initially took on the role of Supervisor of Mathematics at the District Office. However, his innate passion for hands-on school engagement and the opportunity to make a direct impact on students' lives reignited his desire to work within schools. This, combined with the allure of serving the community he grew up in, steered him back to fulfilling the role of Assistant Principal at Hope High School.

Daniel earned his Bachelor's degree from Assumption College (now Assumption University) in Worcester, Massachusetts, and he received his Master's degree from the City College of New York. His commitment to administrative excellence in education is further underscored by his Building Administrator Certification from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York.

When he's not fostering growth in the school community, Daniel can be found showcasing his determination through marathon running. Yet, his most treasured moments are those shared with his three-year-old daughter and supportive wife.
