In addition to inclusion, Carnevale Elementary offer specialized classes that meet a diverse range of special needs. There are four self-contained classes with teachers who specialize in teaching children with autism. These specific programs serve students at the preschool, primary, and intermediate levels. There are two self-contained elementary level classes for students with Pervasive Developmental Disabilities who require a full day, full year program (230-day). A large variety of adaptive equipment is available to meet these students' diverse needs and learning styles.
