Elizabeth Northup is the current Principal at Anthony Carnevale Elementary School. She has been with the Providence Public School District (PPSD) for the past thirteen years, and has spent her entire tenure working in the District. This will be her second year as Principal at Carnevale, and was the Assistant Principal prior to that. She started teaching at Alvarez High School as a special educator and English teacher.

Elizabeth earned her Bachelor's degree in Organizational Communications from the University of Portland in Portland, Oregon. She then went on to receive her Master's in Urban Education from Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island, and then earned her Administration Certificate through the Principal Residency Network. Elizabeth was part of the first Teach for America Corps to arrive in Providence in 2010. 

Elizabeth's vision for Anthony Carnevale Elementary School is that the Carnevale community will provide an inclusive and comprehensive education that supports a strong academic foundation for all learners. The school community will continue to communicate and collaborate to improve the learning for all students with all stakeholders.
