    The Automotive technology course will teach an in-depth knowledge of electricity, physics, chemistry, as well as a strong understanding of electronics and geometry. This class will cover all facets of maintenance and light repair of automobiles. Most automotive technicians have a strong ability to diagnose and repair complex problems. There is a very high demand for technicians in the job market, making it very likely for students to become employed. Uniform and safety glasses will be available; students will need to provide safety boots.

    Career Outlook

    Demand for automotive service technicians and mechanics is expected to grow about as fast as the average among all occupations over the 2021-2031 decade, according to the BLS. The number of jobs is expected to undergo little or no change over that period, which will result in losing an estimated 10,600 jobs.
