College Signing:
A graduating senior at Classical High School, Jason Sibrian will be a welcome addition to the incoming class at Boston College this fall. A scholar and an athlete, Jason has lent his strategy and oration skills to the debate team. He excelled at track and field, where he was captain for the field throwing team. He has also served as a member of Keys for Learning program, where he focused on how to reduce stress for students overwhelmed by testing.It’s the last activity that points to his true interest in studies: medicine. Jason has always liked anatomy, saying “It reminds me of a puzzle.” As a part-time employee of Rhode Island Hospital, Jason has had an “eye-opening experience” watching doctors, nurses and others work with real patients. Not surprisingly, he is also a member of the hospital’s Young Doctors’ Club.
In addition to his time at school and at work, Jason has spent the last four years volunteering with three different Youth Ministries – one at his church, another with the state and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the third with the Diocese of Providence, where he won the “St. Timothy Award.”
Jason Sibrian, graduado de último año de secundaria en la Escuela Secundaria Classical será un muy apreciado y nuevo integrante de la Clase entrante de Boston College este otoño. Un erudito y un atleta, Jason ha prestado su estrategia y habilidades de discurso al equipo de debate. Se destacó en atletismo, donde fue capitán del equipo de lanzamiento de campo. También se desempeñó como miembro del programa Keys for Learning su enfoque se centró en cómo reducir el estrés para los estudiantes abrumados por las pruebas.
Es la última actividad que señala su verdadero interés en los estudios: la medicina. A Jason siempre le ha gustado la anatomía y dijo: "Me recuerda a un rompecabezas". Como empleado de medio tiempo de Rhode Island Hospital, Jason ha tenido una "experiencia reveladora" viendo a médicos, enfermeras y otras personas trabajar con pacientes. No es sorprendente que también sea miembro del Club de Jóvenes Médicos del hospital.
Además de su tiempo en la escuela y en el trabajo, Jason ha pasado los últimos cuatro años como voluntario en tres diferentes Ministerios Juveniles: uno en su iglesia, otro con el estado y el Commonwealth de Massachusetts, y el tercero con la Diócesis de Providence, donde obtuvo el premio “ St. Timothy Award”.
