Parents and guardians have several options when enrolling their children into Providence Schools:
 

• Online pre-registration 

  Click “”.  All requirements must be scanned and uploaded to the application.  Registrations submitted without requirements will not be processed.  A team member will follow up with a phone call to process the registration.  

  
  

  Attention Parents: If you have a parent portal, please log in with your username and password and use the New Student Online Enrollment option to submit a registration.
  
  

  Translating Skyward, the student registration and information system, into another language:

  1. Use Chrome Browser
  2. Go to any page in Skyward and right-click using your mouse or touchpad. The option to translate will show up in the menu.
  3. If you don't see your chosen language as an option, you may need to click on the three stacked dots to the right to see language options.
  4. You will need to do this for every page you visit.? Not working? Please visit this page for a video tutorial and further instructions.

• Drop-off registration 

  Hard copy registrations are received at 325 Ocean St, Providence, RI 02905.  Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.  If you are registering multiple students, we suggest submissions are done as early as 1:00 p.m. to allow sufficient processing time. A team member will screen all requirements including immunizations.  Once the application has been deemed to have met all requirements, it will be placed in a call-back queue and a team member will follow up to process the registration with a phone call.  Applications are processed in the order they are received.

Important: When you register using the pre-registration portal, you may be asked to upload copies of some key documents. Please scan or take a picture of these documents with your phone and upload them to the pre-registration portal. 

 **Please note that some students may require testing to complete the registration process.

Please remember to have the following documents available for the registration process:

• Student Age Verification Document: Birth Certificate, Passport, residency card or I-94
• Parent/Guardian ID
• Immunization Records
• Proof of Providence Residency: Providing One of the following Utility Bill, Paystub, Lease, Bank Statement-all dated within 60 days of registration
• Grades K-8: Last report card
• Grades 9-12: Official High School transcript
• Students with IEP’s, please also plan on providing a copy of the IEP

• How do I check the status of a school transfer request?

Due to our upcoming peak season and to better serve you, all transfer request updates and submissions will be handled via email. All submissions and updates will be provided within a two-working-day period.

To request a waitlist update please email: inforeg@ppsd.org. You must Include: Student Name, DOB or student ID in your request.

• How do I request a school transfer?

  Transfer requests can be submitted by email:  inforeg@ppsd.org, fax 401-278-0553, text message:  401-420-7189.  You may submit your request in person at your child’s assigned school or the Registration Center. Please note that all completed forms be accompanied by parent photo id. You can find the Spanish version here.
